skin and ageing

The skin is the outer layer of the body also known as the epidermis. It is made up of multiple layers of epithelial tissues guarding the muscles, bones, ligaments and internal organs. The skin plays a vital role in protecting the body from the pathogens of the environment. That is why skin and aging should be a priority to each individual.  As we age, the skin becomes thinner and more easily damaged.

Facial skin is more sensitive than the skin from the rest of our body and has to be treated with utmost care.  Some skin can be dry especially on severe weather like too much heat or cold weather. Others can be naturally oily which can have its advantages and disadvantages.  The skin likes to be taken care of that is why we should use water and mild soap. Being the biggest organ in our body, we should take care of it. Use toners, creams or lotions that will suit your skin.  Healthy skin shows a healthy being.

anti-aging skin care

The skin is the largest organ in our body and it is a must that we take care of it.  As we age, the face, neck and hands are the first to show the signs of aging.  There are a lot of anti-aging skin care products in the market but we must be very careful in choosing one that is right for our skin.  You will encounter creams, gels, serums and the like but certain ingredients can make our skin feel smooth and reduce fine lines.  They contain anti-oxidants to reduce dark circles and puffiness.  Anti-oxidants battle the free radicals of aging.

There are three types of skin aging namely genetic, hormonal and environmental.  Genetic is what we call the natural aging process.  Genetics play an important role in genetic aging.  If our parents aged well, chances are we will too.  Hormonal aging occurs in women when the estrogen level dives. It weakens the collagen fibers.  Skin eventually becomes thin with increased wrinkling and sagging.  Menopause is usually visible at this time.  As for environmental aging, this is brought about by sun exposure, smoke, stress, poor diet and even the intake of drugs and alcohol.  As we can see, this kind of aging can be controlled by not exposing yourself too much on these. So, choose the anti-aging treatment that is right for you to keep your skin elastic and firm for a younger looking you.

img_0182.JPGYour daily skin care regimen should always include complexion protection.  Sunscreen can also include facial moisturizers, peptides and antioxidants to boost skin firmness and soften texture.  Facial sunscreen can be much more than most over-the-counter products offer.  Micronized Zinc Oxide must be included in an effective sun screen/sun block.  Zinc Oxide got a bad name in the past as it left an opaque white cream where applied.  Now that it’s micronized, it is equally effective but spreads and absorbs to make it easy to use under make up or just on its own.

Protect your skin from daily sun and wind damage that results in age spots, dry skin and wrinkles.  It can include a facial moisturizer as well as micronized zinc for a powerful product resulting in smooth skin that is protected from UVA/UVB sunrays.  Rejuvenating peptides and high grade silica combine to help your skin look brighter and smoother.  Choose carefully when choosing a facial sunscreen.  Apply it under makeup in the morning and then reapply when exposed to the suns rays.
